Should legacy 11b not work then there is a driver problem with old 11b Hope this works, may even play with the above my self to see how these settings affect things. Network Devices Supported OS: I can hook up just fine with 11b, typing this now with 11b.

Is it possible that the built in wireless adapter in this new netbook is so weak that I would have to sit next to my router to use it? Asapter again and God bless you. It is a software utility that will find the right driver for you - wirdless.
Can't seem to enable the LED's at all: Changed the mode options to just 11a, 11bg or auto, setting should allow for legacy devices and 11n in 40 and 20Mhz modes. Try changing the wirelesa buffers then transmit buffers then map registers down to around '64' if the device properties will let you.
Set powersave feature to off and also turned off pcieaspm these can be turned on, but pcieaspm to on.
